The Integrated Center for Alternative Meats and Proteins (iCAMP) based at UC Davis brings together a network of interdisciplinary researchers, new companies, industry leaders, foundations, and government agencies to serve as a key alternative protein knowledge and technology hub.
iCAMP Overview
iCAMP brings together strategically minded stakeholders to join our efforts to accelerate interdisciplinary research, open innovation, and development of alternative protein production platforms and products.
Our industry partners are integral in advancing our mission from concept through implementation. iCAMP encourages partners to actively participate in our center and inform us about pressing industry concerns important to their organizations in order to help us prioritize the most applicable and valuable research efforts for advancing alternative protein research and innovation.
The integrated solutions developed due in part to sponsorships will benefit the alternative meat industry as a whole, as well as our partners. Partners have many opportunities to engage on critical topics with our center’s faculty, researchers, and professional network, as well as collaborate with other thought leaders from various industries. The center’s activities include partners’ retreats on our current areas of research activities, public events on current and emerging topics, one-on-one time with our director, researchers, and students, and an annual Summit. In addition, partners will be notified about short courses and trainings offered by UC Davis to the public.
How do I become a partner?
We welcome gifts from all individuals, firms, agencies, or corporations interested in the iCAMP mission. Please send partnership inquiries to Executive Director Kara Leong at keleong@ucdavis.edu and a Partner Gift and Pledge Form will be sent to you. Organizations pledge to pay an annual partnership gift. For organizations willing to pledge to a partnership of three years or more, there will be no increase in annual partnership costs during pledged time. Your gift will be assessed a 6% gift fee by UC Davis. If sending a gift by wire transfer, email the Partnership Gift and Pledge form to Executive Director Kara Leong.
